I work on the ATLAS Experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). We like to refer to this as the Energy Frontier as these experiments seek to harness and study the highest energy interactions ever produced by mankind (of course, cosmic rays produce such interactions all of the time!)

I recently joined the faculty in the Physics Department at the University of Chicago and conduct research within the Enrico Fermi Institute. I taught Electricity and Magnetism I & II for third year physics majors in Winter 2014. I supervise several graduate and undergraduate students. Currently my group is preparing for the start of the Run II of the LHC and building electronics for Run III.

Work: Experimental high energy physics

Currently in: Chicago
